About

Big Y in Westborough is part of a family-owned supermarket chain founded in 1936 by Paul and Gerry D’Amour in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Starting as a small market during the Great Depression, it grew into one of New England’s largest independent grocery chains, known for its focus on fresh local products, customer service, and community commitment. Today, the third generation of the D’Amour family continues to expand Big Y with supermarkets, Table & Vine, and Big Y Express locations across Massachusetts and Connecticut.
